Carthage Falls 8-1 at Wisconsin-Whitewater

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — Following a win at home yesterday, the Carthage College men's tennis team made the quick turnaround and traveled to face Wisconsin-Whitewater, falling 8-1 on Saturday at the Lake Geneva Tennis Club.

The home team swept the doubles to take an early 3-0 lead, before clinching the match with a singles win at court four. The Red Men (5-3) would pick up a point after John Nykyforuk closed out the contest with a win at court six, battling back to claim a 3-6, 6-3, 10-7 win.

Carthage will be back in action next weekend when they host Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday, February 29 at 9 a.m. at the Life Sport Athletic Club in Racine.
