Lady Reds Remain in First After Day Two of CCIW Championships

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis.— Following day two of the Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships held on Friday at the RecPlex, the Carthage College women's swimming and diving team still holds first with a two-day team score of 561.

The Lady Reds racked up four all-conference nods on the day as Becca Rutkowski collected her second CCIW title winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.69 while Jordyn Bloode took third in the event.

Later in the meet, Mattea Arndt tallied second in the 400-yard individual medley and Mackinzee Macho placed third in the 100-yard butterfly.

The final day of the CCIW Championships continues tomorrow Saturday, February 22 with preliminaries starting at 10:30 a.m.
