PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis.—The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team sit in first with a team score of 284 following day one of the Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships Thursday at the RecPlex. 

The Lady Red came away with three all-conference honors on the day as Becca Rutkowski and DeAnn Jones placed first and second respectively in the 50-yard freestyle. 

Bloode also won the 500-yard freestyle for all-conference honors registering a second-place time of 5:03.82.

In relay events, the team of Heather Walker, Gianna McGuire, Rutkowski and Jones won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:35.10. 

Day two of the CCIW Championships continue tomorrow Friday, Feb. 20 with preliminaries starting at 10:30 a.m.
