ROCHESTER, Minn. -- The Carthage College men's tennis team opened up their 2020 schedule on the road today, but fell to a tough Carleton College team 8-1 on Saturday at the Rochester Athletic Club.
"I am very pleased with how we competed today," said head coach
Brady Lindsley. "Carleton is a very talented team and we pushed them at nearly every spot. Hopefully we will use this experience to push us tomorrow."
The Red Men would drop court one to begin doubles play, but bounce back with a strong 8-4 win at court two as
Zizi Amadike and
Matt Krzewinski picked up the victory. Carleton would take the lead out of doubles play however, as they took a 2-1 advantage from a win at doubles court three.
Carthage was unable to pull out a win in singles play, eventually falling 8-1. The Red Men will look to bounce back tomorrow morning when they take on St. Thomas at 9 a.m.
