DECATUR, ILL.—The #5 seed Carthage College men's tennis team embarked on the 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Semifinal against #1 seed Augustana College at the Fairview Tennis Courts in Decatur, Illinois on Friday. The Red Men couldn't duplicate yesterday's performance as they dropped a 5-0 decision against the Vikings.
 
The Red Men exit Friday with a 15-10, 3-4 CCIW record and will face North Central College (Ill.) in the third place game tomorrow, Saturday, May 4 at the Fairview Tennis Courts for an 10:30 a.m. start time. The Augustana Vikings (23-6, 7-0 CCIW) will face Wheaton College (Ill.) in the CCIW Tournament Championship Game tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.

The #1 doubles squad of Tripp Schulte/Andre Antreassian made things interesting, but came up short in an 8-7 loss to Peter Alex and Sriram Sugumaran as the Red Men exited doubles in a 3-0 hole.
 
The Vikings clinched the match with wins in #2 and #6 singles en route to a 5-0 win.
