The Carthage College baseball team (17-21, 7-15) opened a three-game series with College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin-opponent Illinois Wesleyan University (20-16, 13-9) on Friday, May 3 with 4-0 loss to the Titans at Jack Horenberger Field in Bloomington, Ill. The two teams conclude the series with a Noon doubleheader on Saturday, May 4, also at Horenberger Field. The series concludes Carthage's 2019 season.

Matt Willett (4-2). The Titans collected their runs on two, two walks and an infield throwing error. Willett gave way to
Kyle Damon in the third. Illinois Wesleyan made it a 4-0 game in the sixth on an RBI-single by Seth Palmby to close put the scoring.
Eric Bennes (3-2) was the winning pitcher, as he blanked the Red Men on four hits, three walks and two strikeouts over six innings.
