DECATUR, ILL.—The 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Men's Tennis Tournament was upon the #5 seed Red Men, who squared-off against #4 seed Millikin University in a quarterfinal match at the Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Illinois on Thursday. Perfect days from Fordy Leipold and Matt Krzewinski powered Carthage to a 5-1 decision over the Big Blue.
 
The Red Men (15-9, 3-4 CCIW) will move onto the 2019 CCIW Tournament Semifinal against #1 seed Augustana College tomorrow, Friday, May 3 at the Fairview Tennis Courts in Decatur for an 11:00 a.m. start time. Millikin (13-7, 4-3 CCIW) will face Carroll (Wis.) in the loser's bracket at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, May 3.

Matt Krzewinski/Daniel Moore kicked-off the day with an 8-2 drubbing of Logan Bennett/Greg Schwoeppe in #2 doubles. After the Big Blue took #1 doubles, Fordy Leipold/John Nykyforuk ended things with an 8-5 decision over Holden Owens/Nick Laramee in the #3 slot.
 
The Red Men clinched the match with Krzewinski's forfeit victory over Holden Owens in #5 singles, followed by Andre Antreassian's 6-2, 6-2 blasting of Greg Schwoeppe in the #3 slot. Leipold iced the match in #6 singles with a 6-1, 7-5 domination of Nick Laramee.
