KENOSHA, WIS.—The 2019 NCAA Division III Softball Tournament Super Regional is upon the Carthage College softball team (29-14), who will square-off against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) foe #6 Illinois Wesleyan University in a best-of-three format on Friday, May 17 – Saturday, May 18 in Bloomington, Illinois. The winner of the best-of-three NCAA Division III Super Regional will advance to the 2019 NCAA Division III Softball World Series on May 23-28 at Suddenlink Field on the campus of University of Texas at Tyler.

ABOUT ILLINOIS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY (36-7)
 
The Titans have claimed the CCIW Regular Season and Tournament Championship five out of the last six seasons, and reached the NCAA Division III World Series each of the last three seasons.
 
Junior pitcher Ally Wiegand commands a Titans pitching staff that leads NCAA Division III with a 1.02 earned run average and a 7.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Individually, Wiegand paces the country in earned run average (0.41), hits allowed per seven innings (2.93) and strikeout-to-walk ratio (57.00). Five Titans earned a spot on the 2019 All-CCIW Softball Team, and the 2019 NFCA All-Great Lakes Region Team, highlighted by Wiegand's CCIW Pitcher of the Year honor.
 
The Titans, competing in their fourth-straight NCAA Division III Tournament Super Regional, are led by third-year head coach Tiffany Prager (113-36-1). The Lady Reds are 24-63 all-time against the Titans.
