UW-LA CROSSE RESULTS
KENOSHA, WIS.—The next round of last chance meets graced the Carthage College men's and women's track & field team's presence on Friday, when select athletes competed at the North Central College (Ill.) Dr. Keeler Invitational and the UW-La Crosse Eagle Open.
Strong marks were aplenty for both squads, which began at UW-La Crosse were
Elizabeth Willis mustered a fifth-place toss of 42.60m in the discus.
Sarah Schmidt trailed Willis with a 13
th-place toss of 38.16m in the discus. The hammer was all Schmidt, who notched sixth place with a 50.88m. Willis wasn't far behind with an eighth-place mark of 50.19m in the hammer. Schmidt (12.29m) and Willis (12.28m) occupied 13th and 14th place in the shot put.
The Red Men throwers also invaded UW-La Crosse, led by Red Men and Lady Reds assistant coach
Greg Raimondi's 54.88m (unattached) in the hammer throw, good enough for fourth place. Austin followed his coach in 14
th place with a 49.59m in the hammer, and tallied a 14.56m in the shot put en route to 11
th place.
The North Central Dr. Keeler Invitational saw
Camren Howard notch 15
th place in the 800 meter run with a 1:53.30 for the Red Men.
Nic Wollerman took 24
th in the 100 meter hurdles with a 17.34, while
Tyrani White represented the Lady Reds with an 11
th-place mark of 5.29 in the long jump.
Select Red Men and Lady Reds will compete at the North Central Gregory Invitational on Wednesday, May 19 – Thursday, May 20 in Naperville, Illinois as a final tune-up for nationals.
