KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College women's tennis team returned to the Smeds Tennis Center for the first time this spring, where they welcomed Lake Forest College for a Monday-evening bout. The Foresters proved too much for the Lady Reds in a 6-3 score.
The Lady Reds fall to 9-7, 6-2 CCIW while Lake Forest ups their record to 16-3.

The Lady Reds exited doubles in a 2-1 hole, where

Sam Ramsey knocked off Julie Lord/Leeza Bodnar 8-7 in the #1 flight. Emmanouil followed that with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Julie Lord in #1 singles, while Ramsey notched a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Allison Watts in the #2 slot. That was all the arsenal Carthage had as they dropped decisions in #3, #4, #5 and #6 singles in a 6-3 loss to the Foresters.
The Lady Reds will return to the Smeds Tennis Center on Sunday, April 14 against Illinois Institute of Technology (9:30 a.m.) and UW-Oshkosh (3:30 p.m.).
