KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College women's tennis team invaded the Life Sport Athletic Club in Kenosha for a Sunday-afternoon match against Concordia University (Wis.). The Lady Reds, who played without #1 singles/doubles threat Angelica Emmanouil, couldn't string together enough victories in a 6-3 loss to the Falcons.

The loss drops Carthage's record to 9-6, 6-2 CCIW while the Falcons exit Sunday with a 12-6 mark.

Concordia (Wis.) 6, Lady Reds 3 (Box Score)

Carthage was in a 2-1 hole after doubles, where Sam Ramsey/Nia Pham tallied an 8-4 win over Ashley Solberg/Rebekah Spiegelhoff in the #1 slot.

Ramsey capitalized on a 6-3, 7-5 win over Solberg in #1 singles to narrow Carthage's deficit to 3-2 before Concordia victories in #4 and #2 singles clinched them the match win. Faelan O'Shaughnessy competed in #5 singles and converted a 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 win over Mia Andrae to give the Lady Reds three match wins before the Falcons ended Sunday with a win in #6 singles to lock a 6-3 advantage.

The Lady Reds will embark on a match against Lake Forest College on Monday, April 8 at Carthage's Smeds Tennis Center. Match time is set for 5:00 p.m.
