ROCK ISLAND, ILL.—The #3 seed Carthage College women's tennis team squared-off against #2 seed Wheaton College in the 2019 CCIW Automatic Qualifier Tournament Semifinal on Friday, hosted by Augustana College (Ill.) in Rock Island, Illinois. The Lady Reds couldn't take a step towards an automatic bid into the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament as they dropped a 5-0 decision to the Thunder. 
 
Carthage wraps up their 2019 season with a 10-8, 6-2 CCIW mark while Wheaton will advance to tomorrow's CCIW Women's AQ Tournament Championship match against Augustana College with a 15-5 overall record.

The Thunder came away with a 3-0 sweep in doubles before victories from Sara Magnuson (#2 singles) and Claire Browning (#3 singles) clinched the match en route to a 5-0 win over Carthage.
 
The Lady Reds bid farewell to Angelica Emmanouil, their lone senior on the 2019 spring roster.
