FULL RESULTS
WHITEWATER, WIS.—The UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative was upon the Carthage College men's track & field team, where they posted phenomenal marks in their final-tune-up before the 2019 CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
Ronny Onano commanded the Red Men sprinters with a third-place time of 50.69 in the 400 meter dash, while
Michael Schantek was on his heels in sixth place with a 51.06.
The 4x100 meter relay squad of
Christopher Gargano,
Lucas Lieb,
Jacob Boucher and
Jon Hasty kept the third-place trend rolling with a time of 43.52.
Aaron Austin also decided third place was the spot to be after tossing a 15.16m in the shot put and a 46.92m in the discus, but came through in a big way with a championship mark of 52.89m in the hammer throw.
Nate Meador claimed fifth place in the hammer throw with a 48.48m.
Freshman
Jared Humphrey earned his stripes in the 400 meter hurdles with a fifth-place time of 57.80, followed by
Dante Graham's sixth-place finish of 57.81.
The Red Men will host the 2019 CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Art Keller Field on Friday, May 3 – Saturday, May 4. Start times are set for 10:00 a.m.
