Red Men Compete at Wheaton Twilight

WHEATON, ILL.—The Carthage College men's track & field team competed at the Wheaton College Twilight in a rare Tuesday meet at McCully Stadium in Wheaton, Illinois. The Red Men captured seventh place out of 13 teams with 36 points. North Central College (Ill.) took home the team championship with 166 points.
 
The second-place trend began in the 4x400 meter relay, where Dante Graham, Quade Kayle, Jared Humphrey and Camren Howard notched a 3:29.85. Camren Howard kept the second-place train rolling in the 1500 meter run, where he clocked-in a 3:55.78.
 
Ronny Onano highlighted the sprinters when he clocked-in a fifth-place time of 22.88 in the 200 meter dash. Humphrey decided fifth place was the place to be in the 400 meter hurdles, where he notched a 57.96. Isaiah Brown joined Humphrey and Onano in fifth place after he eclipsed a 12.24m in the triple jump.
 
Peyton Heiser dominated all Red Men distance runners with a fourth-place time of 9:16.96 in the 300 meter run.
 
The Red Men will return to competition on Friday, April 19 at the Augustana College Meet of Champions. Meet time is set for 11:00 a.m.
