RACINE, WIS.—The Carthage College men's tennis squad hosted Carleton College and Lawrence University at the Life Sport Athletic Club in Racine, Wisconsin on Saturday. The Knights, who are ranked #8 on the latest ITA Division III Men's Central Region Ranking, were too much for the Red Men as they cruised to an 8-1 victory. Carthage flipped the script with an 8-1 victory over Lawrence later in the day.

The split gives Carthage a 4-1 overall record while Carleton improves to 4-1 and Lawrence drops to 1-2 in 2019.

The Red Men began the day in a 2-1 hole after doubles play. The

Fordy Leipold tandem converted an 8-4 victory over Johnny Recihman/Jonas Lindholm-Uzzi in the #3 slot. It was the only victory Carthage converted as the Knights registered a 6-0 sweep in singles play en route to an 8-1 victory over the Red Men.

Matt Krzewinski finished the deal in #5 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Matt Chan.
