THE GAMES

• The Carthage College men's basketball team's (8-15, 3-11 CCIW) final two games will pit them at home against the top-two teams in the CCIW.  #23 North Central College (18-5, 10-4 CCIW) will invade Tarble Arena on Wednesday, February 13 at 7:00 p.m. The Red Men will conclude their 2018-19 campaign at home against #4 Augustana College on Saturday, February 16 at 7:00 p.m.
• Kienan Baltimore, who owns 969 career points, is 31 away from eclipsing 1,000 for the Red Men. 
• Carthage will enter their final two games with a CCIW-leading 119 blocks and 5.2 blocks per game. Sophomore Sean Johnson commands that unit with a single-season school-record 83 blocks, which ranks third in the country. 
• The Cardinals will take a two-game losing skid into Wednesday's bout at Carthage, which includes decisions against Illinois Wesleyan (64-72) and Wheaton (71-82). 
• North Central carries a disciplined demeanor as they rank 12th in the country in fewest turnovers (239) and turnovers per game (10.4). The Cardinals also convert their opportunities at the charity stripe as their .754 free throw percentage leads the CCIW. 
• Connor Raridon commands the Cardinals offense with 17.2 points per game while Matt Cappelletti (15.1 PPG) and Blaise Meredith (10.3 PPG) round out their double-figure scorers.
• The Augustana Vikings' lone two blemishes on their schedule are losses against Loras (73-74) and North Central (63-68). 
• Augie is polished on both ends of the floor as they rank 17th in the country in field goal percentage (.495) and scoring defense (63.8). 
• The Vikings saw a 17-game win streak end with a 63-68 loss to North Central on January 31, their lone CCIW loss in 2018-19. 
• Nolan Ebel paces Augustana in scoring with 16.1 points per game, while Pierson Wofford leads the rebounding efforts with 6.0 per game along with 12.8 points per game.
