KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College women's swimming and diving team started day one of the Carthage College Classic Thursday evening at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center.

The relay team of DeAnn Jones, Jordyn Bloode, Mattea Arndt and Becca Rutkowski picked up a first place time of 7:54.27 in the 800-yard freestyle while Meghan Koterba, Izzy Bertaud, Emma Roche and Elise Merucci collected third with a time of 8:12.30 in the event. 

Bloode also took second with a time of 18:11.73 in the 1650-yard freestyle for the Lady Reds on the day. 

Carthage returns to the pool tomorrow for the second session of the Carthage College Classic beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, December 6.
