WHEATON, Ill. – The Carthage College women's tennis team saw their season come to an end on Friday at the 2018 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Automatic Qualifier, as the third seeded Lady Reds fell to the second seeded Vikings of Augustana College, 5-2.
For the Lady Reds, their season comes to an end at 14-8 in dual meets, while the Vikings improve to 19-8 and will face the Thunder of Wheaton College in tomorrow's AQ championship.
In doubles, the Lady Reds took just one-of-three matches with
Taylor Bolyard and freshman
Hannah Haeberle topping Maleeha Chowdhury and Faith Johnson in number three doubles, 8-4. Unfortunately, the Lady Reds weren't able to carry the momentum over into singles, as the Augustana took three of the opening four matches, with
Maria Salerno winning the six singles over Morgan Bullen, 6-4, 6-3.
