Lady Reds Eye Green Knights and Raiders

KENOSHA, WIS.—The Carthage College softball team will open their post-spring break schedule at St. Norbert College (DH) on Thursday, March 22 at 3:00 p.m. Thursday's double-dip at St. Norbert was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 21. Carthage will conclude the week at home against Milwaukee School of Engineering (DH) on Saturday, March 24 at 12:00 p.m.
 
The Lady Reds, in the midst of a 13-day hiatus, are led by Jennifer Michuda's .423 (11-of-26) batting average. Alexandra Millett (.351), Brooke Sefcik (.324) and Naomi Alonzo (.303) round out the Carthage .300+ hitters. Stefanie Guercio commands the Lady Reds pitching staff with a 2.04 earned run average, a 4-1 win-loss record and 41 strikeouts over 34.1 innings pitched.
 
ABOUT ST. NORBERT COLLEGE (2-8, 0-0 MWC)
 
The Green Knights will face Carthage following a 10-game stand in Kissimmee, Florida, where they registered victories over Utica College (11-9) on March 12, and Skidmore College (8-3) on March 15. Lexy Campshure, who carries a .310 batting average (9-for-29), is the lone .300+ hitter in St. Norbert's lineup.
 
Through 10 games, the Green Knights sport a .219 batting average, and gave up a .422 mark. Emma Molenhouse, Ellie Olsen and Sydney Pfotenhauer make up a St. Norbert pitching staff that's accumulated an 8.84 earned run average and 21 strikeouts over 61 innings.
 
JoAnn Krueger (354-342-1) is in her 21st season as Green Knights head softball coach. Carthage owns a 7-7 all-time record against St. Norbert College.
 
ABOUT MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING (7-3, 0-0 NACC)
 
The Raiders will face Carthage following a 21-day hiatus from competition. Among their seven victories in Clermont, Fla was a 3-1 decision over CCIW-foe Wheaton College (Ill.) on March 3. Riley Rossbach paces MSOE with a .500 (9-18) batting average, while Emily Snow's .455 (15-33) mark includes 10 doubles, 11 runs batted in and 10 home runs. Snow ranks third in NCAA Division III with 1.00 doubles per game. The Raiders sport a .337 batting average and 28 doubles in 2018.
 
MSOE's pitching staff sports a 2.23 ERA and 64 strikeouts over 66.0 innings in 2018. Kyle Knoblauch is in his second season as Raiders head softball coach. The Lady Reds own a 10-1 all-time record against MSOE.

Carthage will face Concordia Chicago (DH) in River Forest, Ill.  on Tuesday, March 27 at 3:00 p.m., and Wisconsin Lutheran College (DH) on Thursday, March 29 in Milwaukee, Wis. at 3:00 p.m.
