ABOUT CALVIN COLLEGE (0-0, 0-0 MIAA)

The 2018 season will mark Calvin's sixth with a men's lacrosse program. The Knights, a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, are coming off a 2017 campaign that resulted in a 5-11, 1-6 MIAA finish.  Gone from last season's squad is leading scorer Chris Griffin, who registered 30 goals and 26 assists for 56 points in 2017. Michael Winkler, who tallied 28 goals and 10 assists for 38 points in 2017, is Calvin's returning leading scorer.

Senior Ethan Brown commands the Knights defense as he paced the team with 34 caused turnovers and 95 ground balls in 2017. Calvin's .436 man-up offense in 2017 led all MIAA teams, and ranked 20th in NCAA Division III.  Mitchell Caldwell, who posted a .370 save percentage and 12.49 goals against average in 2017, is the lone returning goalkeeper on the 2018 Knights roster.

Saturday will mark the beginning of Dave Hoger's second season at Calvin head men's lacrosse coach. The Red Men own a 2-0 all-time record against the Knights.
