KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Lady Reds won their second straight College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual meet on Wednesday, September 13th, defeating the Bluejays of Elmhurst College at Smeds Tennis Center, 9-0.
Carthage improves their overall and CCIW record to 2-1 on the season, while the Bluejays fall to 1-2.
After dominating with a sweep in the doubles competition to open the afternoon, Carthage polished off Elmhurst with six straight-set wins in singles by
Casey Frommer at the one,
Max Mella at the two,
Angelica Emmanouil at the three,
Natalie Favia at the four,
Lauren Woznicki at the five and
Maria Salerno at the six.
Frommer, Mella, Emmanouil, Favia and Woznicki all had perfect 2-0 days, while
Hannah Haeberle joined Woznicki in doubles to round out the winning Lady Reds.
