KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Lady Reds followed up a 9-0 victory from Monday over Edgewood College with another dominant shutout performance on Friday against Concordia University Wisconsin at the Smeds Tennis Center, 9-0.
The win moves Carthage, #17 in the region, to 13-6 on the season, while CUW falls to 14-10.
Carthage opened the day with a strong sweep of the Falcons in doubles with wins by
Casey Frommer and
Angelica Emmanouil in the ones [8-3],
Max Mella and
Kristen Kalinka in the twos [8-4], and
Eliza Barter and
Natalie Favia in the three-doubles, [8-5].
Carthage completed the clean-sweep with a 6-0 performance in the singles matches, with straight set wins by Frommer, Mella, Emmanouil,
Paige Moritz, Kalinka and Barter in the one through six respectively.
