ORLANDO, Fla. – The Carthage College women's tennis team completed a successful week in Florida on Friday with their third win of the week, defeating Calvin College, 8-1.
 
The win moves the Lady Reds to 11-4 in 2016-17 and the loss sends Calvin to 5-5.
 
The Lady Reds opened with a pair of wins in the doubles competition as Max Mella and Angelica Emmanouil defeated Claire Spoelhof and Ellie Benzel [8-4], and Casey Frommer and Kristen Kalinka topped Liz Turner and Lark Foote [8-2].
 
The Lady Reds followed that up with a sweep of the singles competition as Frommer, Mella, Emmanouil, Kalinka, Paige Moritz and Natalie Favia won the one through six singles matches in straight sets respectively.

The Lady Reds will return for one final indoor match against UW-Whitewater in Janesville on April 1st before shifting to Smeds for the outdoor portion of their spring season.
