ORLANDO, Fla. - The Carthage College men's tennis team fell in a battle of #16 regionally-ranked teams on Monday, as the Red Men were topped by Babson College to open the spring break trip, 6-3.
The loss drops the Red Men to 5-6 on the season in dual meets, while Babson of the East Region, improved to 2-4.
The Red Men found themselves down 2-1 after the doubles matches as the Beavers' Alberto De Mendiola and Brandon Rosenbluth edged
Herman Abban and
Pawel Jaworski in one-doubles [8-6], and in three-doubles, Ho Wang Alastair and Dylan Pace defeated
Fordy Leipold and
Brandon Stassen.
Chris Conley and
Lukasz Jaworski earned the Red Men's lone doubles victory Monday as they defeated Ben Roque and Dylan Levy in the number-two doubles match [8-4].
In the singles competition, Red Men
Pawel Jaworski and
Chris Conley picked up the Red Men's only two wins as they won the two and three singles matches respectively.
