CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Carthage College Red Men concluded their weekend in the Hawkeye State on Saturday, February 25 with a tough defeat to the Central Region's number-nine team, Coe College, 8-1.
The loss drops the Red Men to 4-5 on the season, while the Kohawks improve to 4-3.
Herman Abban and
Pawel Jaworski continued to roll in the number-one singles slot, as Nation's number-twelve team and Central Region's number-three ranked duo improved to 17-1 on the 2016-17 season.
Herman and Pawel toppled Coe's top duo of Brady Anderson and Josh Pudlo, 8-4, to earn the Red Men's lone win of the day to round out the doubles competition.
Struggles continued for the Red Men in the singles competition as the Kohawks swept Carthage, 6-0, to close out the match.
The Red Men will look to bounce back with a single match next weekend as the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and Carthage College meet in Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m.
