MADISON, WIS.—Day two of the Midwest Invite stood in front of the Carthage College women's tennis team on Saturday. Day one of the Gustavus Adolphus College hosted invite saw the Lady Reds defeat Kalamazoo College 6-3, and fall to #15 University of Chicago 9-0.

Carthage drew DePauw Univeristy, and the host Gustavus Adolphus College on day two of the Midwest Invite in Madison. The Lady Reds lost to DePauw University 5-2, and fell to Gustavus Adolphus 5-1.

The Lady Reds sit at 13-6, 5-2 CCIW through Saturday's matches.

DePauw took a 3-0 lead through doubles play. The

Kristen Kalinka tandem put up a fight against Megan Galle and Colleen Morris, but dropped an 8-6 decision.

The singles flight saw the Lady Reds and Tigers go 2-2.
Angelica Emmanouil and
Casey Frommer each claimed singles victories for the Lady Reds. The #1 and #6 singles matches went unfinished.

The Gusties edged the Lady Reds 2-1 in doubles action.
Eliza Barter and Frommer highlighted Carthage in doubles play with an 8-6 victory over Sid Dirks/Katie Aney.

Three-of-six singles matches went unfinished. Â The Gusties defeated the Lady Reds 3-0 in the singles portion of the match.

Carthage will return to the Smeds Tennis Center on Sunday, April 10 against UW-Whitewater. First serve is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
