Men's Tennis' CCIW Opener Moved To Racine Tennis Club

KENOSHA, Wis. – Due to concerns over the weather, matches scheduled for the Carthage College men's tennis team on Saturday, April 2nd, that were originally scheduled at Smeds Tennis Center have been moved to the Racine Tennis Club.

The Red Men, who have an 11-6 record in 2016, will start the day with their College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener against Illinois Wesleyan at 2:00 PM, followed by Lake Forest College at 8:00 PM.

Carthage enters the matches coming off a successful week in Florida for Spring Break, that saw the Red Men go 4-1 with wins over the College of Wooster [5-4], Hamline University [8-1], Luther College [7-2] and Lawrence University [9-0].

Illinois Wesleyan, who also enters following a weeklong trip to Orlando, comes in at 0-4 with the Red Men dominating the series, winning at least 10 straight matches over the Titans dating back to the 2006-07 season.

Lake Forest enters the Racine Tennis Club at 6-5 this year and will face the Titans earlier in the day prior to their head-to-head with Carthage.

Following this week's matches, the Red Men will play five of their next six matches against CCIW opponents beginning with Augustana College April 9th at 10:00 AM in Rock Island, Illinois.
