The doubleheader was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 30 before a forecast of rain forced the change to Tuesday, March 29.

ABOUT UW-WHITEWATER (7-4, 0-0 WIAC)Â
The Warhawks are coming off a 36-9 season that saw them take home the 2015 WIAC Tournament Championship. They eventually fell 10-7 to Hope College on May 7, 2015, and 3-2 (11 INN.) to Lake Forest College on May 8, 2015 in the NCAA Regionals.

UW-Whitewater began this season with 11 games in Clermont, Florida. The Warhawks are 1-1 against CCIW competition this season. They fell to Elmhurst College 2-0 on March 20 before rebounding with an 11-5 victory over Millikin University on March 22.

Caitlin Catino paces the Warhawks with a .486 batting average, two doubles and three triples. Julia Camardo and Stephanie Waller have platooned time on the pitching rubber for the Warhawks. Camardo carries a 1.05 ERA and .187 opponent batting average in 26.2 innings of work this season. Waller owns a 1.75 ERA in 28.0 innings pitched for the Warhawks this season.

The 2016 season is Brenda Volk's 18
th at UW-Whitewater head softball coach. She owns six WIAC Championships in her 18 seasons at the helm.

CARTHAGEÂ
The Lady Reds chalked up a 6-4 record in Clermont, Florida on March 18-23. Through 10 games this season,
Darian Pelsor leads the pack with a .529 batting average that includes three doubles, two home runs and 12 runs batted in.

Katie Herron and Pelsor each split time on the pitching rubber for the Lady Reds this season. Herron owns a 1.99 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 24.2 innings of work. Pelsor has also pitched 22.2 innings this season and carries a 2-1 record and 2.84 ERA.

As a team, the Lady Reds own a .300 batting average and .942 fielding percentage.
