Red Men Will Welcome Warhawks and Titans This Week

KENOSHA, Wis.—The Carthage College men's tennis team will close their three-match home stand at the Racine Tennis Club against UW-Whitewater on Friday, March 11 at 6:00 p.m. UW-Oshkosh will pay the Red Men a visit on Sunday, March 13 at 4:00 p.m.
 
ABOUT UW-WHITEWATER (8-4, 0-0 WIAC)
 
The Warhawks won six of their last seven matches, with their only loss coming to NCAA Division I UW-Green Bay 7-0 on February 26. Three-of-four UW-Whitewater losses on the season came against NCAA Division I competition. The only NCAA Division III loss for the Warhawks this season came in an 8-1 decision against the University of Chicago on February 2.
 
Matt Bisbee, Grant Thompson and Rithwik Rajshekhar Raman each pace the Warhawks with 10 singles victories on the season. The tandem of Michael Treis and Jake Humphreys carry the load in doubles play with a 10-6 record.
 
The 2015-16 season is Frank Barnes' 15th as UW-Whitwater head men's tennis coach and carries a 259-117 career record.
 
ABOUT UW-OSHKOSH (4-5, 0-0 WIAC)
 
The Titans sport a four-match win streak after they opened the 2015-16 season with five straight losses. UW-Oshkosh's victories on the season came against Central College, Carroll University, Lawrence University and Edgewood College.
 
Adam Hawley paces the Titans in singles play with four victories on the season. The doubles tandems of Hawley/Adam Martin and Vincent Gorski/Ryan Kizmanovic lead UW-Oshkosh with four wins each.
 
James Lewison is in his first season as UW-Oshkosh head men's tennis coach.
 
The Red Men are looking to generate another win streak after they opened the 2015-16 season with five straight victories. Carthage snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-4 victory over UW-Eau Claire on March 4.
 
Pawel Jaworski's performance in the victory landed him CCIW Men's Tennis Player of the Week. He notched a 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 victory in singles play, and teamed with Chris Conley for an 8-6 win in doubles action.
