RACINE, Wis. – The Carthage College men's tennis team suffered a setback in their first match of the season at Racine Tennis Club, falling to Aquinas College 7-2, Friday night.
The loss drops the Red Men to 5-3 on the during the 2016 indoor season.
Alex Boomgarden earned the Red Men's only singles victory, defeating Kristoff Saari [6-3, 6-2] in the one-singles match, while
Pawel Jaworski and
Chris Conley defeated Saari and Gennar Peery in the one-doubles match [8-6].
Carthage hits the road Sunday, February 28th as the Red Men face the Kohawks of Coe College at 9:00 AM at the Clark Racquet Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
