Lady Reds Lacrosse opens the 2016 season in Greencastle, Ind. this weekend

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (0-0, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) will open their season this weekend in Greencastle, Ind. The Lady Reds will take on Hanover College on Saturday, February 27th at 4 p.m. and DePauw University on Sunday, February 28th at 11 a.m. Both matches will take place at Reavis Stadium on the campus of DePauw University.
 
Carthage College Lady Reds
Record: 0-0
 
The Lady Reds enter the 2016 season after finishing 12-6 overall in 2015. Carthage also compiled a 5-1 CCIW record in the conference's first year of sponsoring the sport. Head coach Lauren Hein returns to lead the Lady Reds for her second year (12-6 career record).
 
Hanover College Panthers – Live Stats
Game: Saturday, February 27th – 4 p.m. – Reavis Stadium
Record: 0-0
 
This will be the first match for the Panthers in 2016. Carthage and Hanover have not previously met in competition. Hanover finished 3-11 in 2015
 
DePauw University Tigers – Live Stats
Game: Sunday, February 28th – 11 a.m. – Reavis Stadium
Record: 0-0
 
The Tigers' match against Carthage will be their first match of the 2016 season. DePauw finished 7-9 in 2015 under the leadership of head coach Julie Sargent. Carthage and DePauw met for the first time in 2015 on March 15th. The Lady Reds overcame the Tigers 13-11 in Kenosha, Wis.
