The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's lacrosse coaches picked Carthage College to finish second, according to a pre-season coaches poll.
 
Augustana College (Ill., 35 points, 5 first-place votes) was picked to win the inaugural title, followed by North Central College (29 points, 2 first-place votes) and Carthage (29 points) tied for second place, the University of Dubuque (20 points) fourth, Illinois Wesleyan University (14 points) fifth, Elmhurst College (13 points) sixth and Carroll University (Wis., 7 points) ranked seventh.
 
Carthage opens its 2015 season with a two-day trip to the Augsburg College Dome in Minneapolis, Minn., on Saturday-Sunday, Feb. 21-22.  The Lady Reds open versus Loras College on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 8:30 p.m. before taking on Augsburg on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.  Both matches are indoors.
