The host-Tigers won the 12-team event with 227 points, followed by Carthage and the University of St. Francis (Ill.) tied for second place at 66 points each, Benedictine University (Ill.) fourth at 60, Aurora University fifth at 56, St. Xavier University sixth at 36.50, Illinois Wesleyan University seventh at 27, St. Ambrose University eighth at 20.50, Cardinal Stritch University ninth at 18, Eureka College 10th with seven points, Roosevelt University 11th with five points and Knox College 12th with four points.

Mike Brown (Sr., St. Charles, Ill./East) finished second in the 200-meter dash (22.47), as did
Nick Hinton (Fr., New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way West) in the high jump (6-5).Â
Mark Balmes (Jr., Mount Prospect, Ill./Arlington Heights-Hersey) was third in the shot put (52-7 ½) and sixth in the weight throw (50-11).Â
David Goodalis (Jr., Naperville, Ill./Central) took third in the weight throw (55-11 ¼), and
Kevin Kulling (So., Naperville, Ill./Central) was fourth in the 800-meter run (2;00.46).Â
Branden Miller (Sr., Winfield, Ill./Wheaton-North) finished fifth in the weight throw (53-7) and sixth in the shot put (51-5 ¾).Â
Gus Shipp (Fr., Northbrook, Ill./Glenview-Glenbrook South) was fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (8.71), as was
Camren Howard (Fr., Olympia Fields, Ill./Chicago Heights-Marian Catholic) in the 800-meter run (2:00.62).

The Red Men play host to the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Indoor Track and Field Championship on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-28 at the Tarble Athletic and Recreation Center fieldhouse (1 p.m./10:30 a.m.).
