CHESTERTON, Ind. – The Carthage College men's swimming and diving team was back in the pool Sunday at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Triangular featuring Carthage, Rose-Hulman and Albion College.

Freshman
Mitch Scarski turned in the top performance for the Red Men by winning two events Sunday afternoon. Scarski first won the 200 yard backstroke by swimming a time of 1:46.85 to finish ahead of Rose-Hulman's second palce finisher and teammate
Sam Gabriel who was third.Â

Scarski returned to the pool where he won the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.84 to win by more than a second.

Taking second for the Red Men was
Lee Hollman who swam a time of 54.20 in the 100 backstroke to finish just ahead of Scarski in third.

Other third place finishers for Carthage included
Nathan Morris in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 10:35.49,
Chris Riordan in the 100 yard breaststroke, Hollman in the 50 free, and the relay teams of Gabriel, Hollman,
Paul Devereux and
Lucas Linder in the 200 medley relay, as well as, the relay team of Hollman with
James Weslaski,
Cameron Small and
Chris Russo in the 400 free relay.

The swimming and diving programs get back on the road next weekend for the two-day Calvin Invitational hosted by Calvin College at the Venema Aquatics Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, November 6th and 7th.
