NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Carthage College women's tennis team improved to 2-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and 4-1 overall following an 8-1 win over North Central College Monday at the North Central College Tennis Courts.
 
The Lady Reds went 5-1 in singles competition and 3-0 in doubles against the Cardinals.
 
Carthage won their singles one, two, four, five and six matches as Max Mella, Casey Frommer Taylor Bolyard, Angelica Emmanouil and Kirsten Peterson each won in straight sets.
 
In doubles action, Mella and Emmanouil won 8-4, Frommer and Bolyard won 8-2, and Eliza Barter and Kristen Kalinka won 8-2.
 
The Lady Reds return to Smeds this week when Carthage plays host to North Park University Thursday, October 8th at 4:00 PM.
