Lady Reds Wrap-Up Fall Regular Season With 8-1 Win Over Elmhurst

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carthage College Lady Reds tennis team improved to 5-2 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Friday with a 8-1 win over Elmhurst College at Smeds Tennis Center.
 
The Carthage doubles teams of Max Mella and Angelica Emmanouil, Taylor Bolyard and Casey Frommer and Eliza Barter and Kristen Kalinka each won their matches 8-1 to jump-out to a quick 3-0 lead.
 
In singles action, Frommer, Barter, Bolyard, Emmanouil and Kirsten Peterson each won in straight sets while Mella fell in three after coming back to force the third set after dropping the first.
 
Carthage now turns their attention to the CCIW Women's Tennis Championships at Hanover Park, Illinois' Centre Court Athletic Club, where the Lady Reds will compete for the conference title Thursday, October 4th through Saturday October 6th.
