The Carthage College women's tennis team (7-0, 4-0 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) defeated Carroll University (Wis., 4-6) on Monday, Sept. 29 at the Kilgour-Trailblazer Courts in Waukesha, Wis.

Haleigh McPeek (Sr. Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 7-2) fell to Carroll's Abigail Pellett, 6-3, 6-2, at the No. 1 singles position.
Max Mella (Fr., Warren, Ill./Warren Township, 6-2) was a winner at No. 2 singles, defeating Carroll's Julia Patzin, 6-2, 6-2.
Abbi Howell (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 8-4) was also successful at No. 3 singles, also winning, 6-2, 6-2. Â
Eliza Barter (So., Deerfield, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy, 6-4) at No. 4 singles,
Taylor Bolyard (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./Tremper, 6-0) at No. 5 singles, and
Kirsten Peterson (Jr., Hastings, Minn./Hastings, 7-1) at No. 6 singles were also all successful in their matches.

McPeek and Mella (12-2) defeated Carroll's duo of Pellett and Patzin, 8-2, at No. 1 doubles. Howell and Barter (8-1) at No. 2 doubles and
Kristen Kalinka (So., Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph's) and Bolyard (7-1) at No. 3 doubles also won their matches against Carroll, both with the score of 8-1.

The Lady Reds will travel to Chicago, Ill. on Saturday, October 4, to take on North Park University at the Northeastern Illinois University Courts at 11 a.m.
