Box Score The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (10-6, 8-2 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) closed out its regular-season schedule on Tuesday night, April 29 with a 19-7 win over conference-opponent Aurora University (4-11, 3-7 MWLC) at Vago Field in Aurora, Ill.
 
The Lady Reds led the Spartans, 10-4, at halftime and outscored Aurora, 9-3, in the second period.  Lauren Chatham (Sr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) led Carthage with six goals, four assists and one ground ball.  Anna Schweiss (Sr., Parker, Colo./Chaparral) also had six goals with two ground balls.  Hannah Bellenbaum (Jr., Lake Oswego, Ore./Lake Oswego) scored three goals, Elizabeth Wittenborg (So., Bloomington, Minn./Jefferson) added one goal with three assists and one ground ball.  Lexie Wright led Aurora with five goals.
 
The Lady Reds, seeded second, open Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament play with a semifinal game on Friday, May 2 versus third-seeded Concordia University (Wis., 12-4, 8-2 MWLC) at Augustana College's Thorsen-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill., beginning at 4:30 p.m.  In the other semifinal contest, top-seeded and No. 27 Augustana (Ill., 15-0, 9-0 MWLC) plays fourth-seeded North Central College (9-5, 8-2) at 7:30 p.m.  The Saturday, May 3 championship game begins at 7:30 p.m.
