Lady Reds Travel to Aurora on Tuesday

Box Score The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (9-6, 7-2 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) journeyed to Springfield, Ohio, on Sunday, April 27 and lost a 23-10 non-conference game to Wittenberg University (13-2) at Edwards-Maurer Field.
 
The Tigers led, 16-5, at halftime and outscored the Lady Reds by a narrow, 7-5 margin in the second period.  Alie Marousek led Wittenberg with six goals, three assists and two ground balls, while Francine Murzynski had four goals, one assist and seven ground balls.  Sydney Whitaker (Sr., Bainbridge, Wash.) and Lauren Chatham (Sr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) had three goals each for Carthage, with Whitaker also being credited with an assist.
 
The Lady Reds close out their regular-season schedule on Tuesday, April 29 with a 4 p.m. game against conference-opponent Aurora University (4-10, 3-6 MWLC) at Vago Field in Aurora, Ill.
