Men's Lacrosse Ends the Regular Season with an 11-7 Win at Hanover

The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (14-5, 8-2 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) closed out its regular-season schedule on Saturday, April 26 with an 11-7 win over league-opponent Hanover College (9-7, 5-5 MLC) at L.S. Ayres Field in Hanover, Ind.

 
The Red Men led the Panthers, 2-1, after the first period, 6-1 at halftime and 10-4 going into the final period.  John Salerno (So., Western Springs, Ill./La Grange-Lyons Township) led the Red Men with three goals, an assist and a ground ball.  Danny Morse (Sr., O'Fallon, Ill/O'Fallon Township) had two goals, an assist and four ground balls, and Jack Meachum (Sr., Naperville, Ill./North) added three assists.  Josh Green and Zac Cheatle both had three goals for Dubuque.

 
Carthage opens play in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament with a Wednesday, April 30 semifinal game against Concordia University (Wis., 14-3, 9-1 MLC) at Fitting Field in Mequon, Wis., beginning at 4 p.m. In the other semifinal contest, Aurora University (13-3, 10-0 MLC) plays host to Augustana College (Ill., 9-6, 6-4 MLC) at Vago Field in Aurora, Ill.
