The Carthage College women's tennis team (9-4, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) concluded a four-match spring trip to Orlando, Fla., on Thursday, March 26 with a 7-2 win over Calvin College (2-7).  Carthage opened the trip on Sunday, March 23 with a 9-0 win over Hamline University (3-7).  On Monday, March 24, the Lady Reds lost to Luther College (11-5), 6-3, and on Wednesday, March 26, lost to Hamilton College (8-2), 8-1.
 
In the win over Calvin on March 27, Carthage's Bari Reynolds (Sr., Sterling, Ill., 12-9) defeated the Knights' Megan Visser at No. 1 singles, 1-6, 7-5, 10-5  Haleigh McPeek (Jr. Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 12-8) won over Claire Spoelhof at No. 2 singles, the latter winning, 6-1, 6-1.  Abbi Howell (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 13-10) was a winner at No. 3 singles.  Eliza Barter (Fr., Deerfield, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy, 7-12) lost at No. 4 singles, as did Holly Weber (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 11-5) at No. 5 singles.  Kelsey Bowen (Sr., Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township, 9-5) was a winner at No. 6 singles. 
 
The Lady Reds' No. 1 doubles team of Reynolds and McPeek (19-2) was an 8-4 winner over Calvin's Megan Visser and Claire Spoelhof.  Carthage's No 2 team of Howell and Barter (8-9) won their match, as did the Lady Reds' No. 3 tandem of Holly Weber and Kristin Kalinka (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph, 14-5).
 
Carthage plays host to Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday, April 6 in a 1:30 p.m. match at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.
