The Carthage College men's tennis team (8-2, 0-0 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin) won both ends of a Saturday, March 1 double-dual match at the YMCA Tennis Center in Oshkosh, Wis.  Carthage defeated Wisconsin-Oshkosh (4-3), 7-2, before blanking the Milwaukee School of Engineering (2-6), 9-0.
 
Carthage's Alex Boomgarden (So., Fitchburg, Wis./Verona Area, 11-6) defeated Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Bobby Brooks at No. 1 singles, 4-6, 7-6(8), 10-8, and won over MSOE's Eric Klamrowski, 6-1, 6-1.  Ryan Jump (So., Mundelein, Ill., 11-4) lost to the Titans' Kevin Lewis at No. 2 singles, the latter winning, 6-1, 6-1.  Pawel Jaworski (Fr., Deerfield, Ill., 10-4) won a No. 3 singles match against UW-Oshkosh and a No. 2 singles contest over MSOE. 

Chris Conley (So., Elm Grove, Wis./Brookfield Academy, 8-6) won at No. 4 singles against Wisconsin-Oshkosh and at No. 3 singles versus MSOE.  Tony O'Connell (So., Roswell, N.M./Natabua, 12-3) defeated the Titans at No. 5 singles and the Raiders at No. 4 singles.  Alex Ferruzzi (So., Kenosha, Wis./Salem-Westosha Central, 9-4) was a winner at No. 6 singles versus UW-Oshkosh and at No. 5 singles against MSOE, and Conor Moon (Jr., Sussex, Wis./Woodstock (Ill.)-Marian Central Catholic, 2-2) won against MSOE at No. 6 singles.
 
Carthage's No. 1 doubles team of Alex Boomgarden and Pawel Jaworski (4-5) lost to Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Bobby Brooks/Kevin Lewis, the latter winning, 8-1.  Carthage's No. 2 team of Ryan Jump and Chris Conley (7-4) was a winner over the Titans, as was the No. 3 tandem of Tony O'Connell and Conor Moon (5-3).
 
Carthage travels to Elkhorn, Wis., on Friday, March 7 to Wisconsin-Whitewater in a 3:30 p.m. match at the Four Lakes Athletic Club.  On Saturday, March 8, the Red Men play host to Wisconsin-Eau Claire in a 10 a.m. contest at the Racine Racquet & Fitness Club in Racine, Wis.
