The Carthage College women's tennis team (7-2, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) edged non-conference-opponent Carroll University (Wis., 7-2), 5-4, on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.

Bari Reynolds (Sr., Sterling, Ill., 8-5) fell to the Pioneers' Abigial Pellett at No. 1 singles, Pellett winning, 6-3, 6-4.
Haleigh McPeek (Jr. Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 8-5) defeated Carroll's Megan Rosenburg at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
Abbi Howell (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 7-8) lost at No. 3 singles.
Eliza Barter (Fr., Deerfield, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy, 6-7) was a winner at No. 4 singles.
Holly Weber (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 7-2) lost at No. 5 singles, as did
Kelsey Bowen (Sr., Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township, 5-2) at No. 6 singles.
The Lady Reds' No. 1 doubles team of Reynolds and McPeek (12-2)) defeated the Pioneers' Abigail Pellett and Megan Rosenburg, 8-3. Carthage's No 2 team of Howell and Barter (5-5) defeated Carroll, as did the Lady Reds' No. 3 tandem of
Holly Weber and Kristin Kalinka (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph, 10-2).
Carthage travels to Bloomington, Ill., on Friday-Saturday, Oct. 4-5 for the CCIW Women's Tennis Championship at the Evergreen Racquet Club.
