The Carthage College women's tennis team (6-2, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) defeated CCIW-opponent Elmhurst College (3-4, 1-3 CCIW), 6-3, on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Smeds Tennis Center in Kenosha, Wis.

Bari Reynolds (Sr., Sterling, Ill., 8-4) fell to the Bluejays' Cassie Kovach at No. 1 singles, Kovach winning, 6-4, 7-6(6).
Haleigh McPeek (Jr. Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 7-5) defeated Annie Duggan at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
Abbi Howell (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 7-7) was a winner at No. 3 singles.
Eliza Barter (Fr., Deerfield, Ill./Wilmette-Loyola Academy, 5-7) lost at No. 4 singles.
Holly Weber (Sr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 7-1) was a winner at No. 5 singles, as was Kristin Kalinka (Fr., Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph, 3-1) at No. 6 singles.
The Lady Reds' No. 1 doubles team of Reynolds and McPeek (11-2)) defeated the Bluejays' Annie Duggan and Meg Griffin, 8-5. Carthage's No 2 team of Howell and Barter (4-5) lost to Elmhurst, but the Lady Reds' No. 3 tandem on
Holly Weber and Kristin Kalinka (9-2) was a winner.
