Box Score The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (11-7, 6-2 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference), seeded third, lost to second-seeded North Central College (12-4), 7-6, on Friday, May 3 in the semifinals of the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament at Augustana College's Thorsen-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill. 

Conference-champion Augustana (Ill., 15-3) defeated fourth-seeded Concordia University (Wis., 7-8), 19-5 in the other semifinal game.  Augustana (Ill., 16-3) nipped North Central (Ill., 12-5), 10-9, in the Saturday, May 4 championship game.
 
In the semifinal loss to the Cardinals, the Lady Reds led at halftime, 5-4.  North Central opened the second period with three unanswered goals to take a 7-5 lead.  Carthage's Lauren Chatham scored with 5:13 remaining for the final, 7-6 margin.  Lauren Chatham (Jr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) had two goals and four draw controls, while Sydney Whitaker (Jr. Bainbridge Wash.) scored two goals with one assist.  Gina Fisher led the Cardinals with three goals, an assist and three ground balls.
