The Carthage College women's tennis team (11-9, 4-2 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin) ended its 2012-13 season on Tuesday, April 30 with a 6-3 loss to Augustana College (Ill., 16-8) in the semifinals of the CCIW Women's Tennis Automatic Qualifying Tournament at the Augustana Tennis Courts in Rock Island, Ill.
 
Bari Reynolds (Jr., Sterling, Ill., 16-14) lost to the Vikings' Kim Sawyer at No. 1 singles, Sawyer winning, 6-4, 6-2.  Haleigh McPeek (So., Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest, 19-9) lost to Augustana's Emily Kaczmarek at No. 2 singles, Kaczmarek winning, 6-4, 6-4.  Abbi Howell (So., Minneapolis, Minn./Southwest, 15-11) was a winner at No. 3 singles over Krista Panko, 7-5, 7-6.  Kelsey Bowen (Jr., Beach Park, Ill./Zion-Benton Township, 6-6) lost at No. 4 singles, as did Kirsten Peterson (Fr., Hastings, Minn.. 8-9) at No. 5 singles and Holly Weber (Jr., Salem, Wis./Westosha Central, 15-7) at No. 6 singles.
 
Carthage's No.1 doubles team of Reynolds and McPeek (20-6) lost to the Vikings' Sawyer and Aileen MacDonald, 8-4.  The No. 2 team of Howell and Erin Henrickson (So., Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South, 17-11) was a winner, as was the No. 3 tandem of Peterson and Weber, 8-8).
