Box Score The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (15-3, 9-1 Midwest Lacrosse Conference), seeded second, defeated third-seeded Augustana College (Ill., 11-6, 8-2 MLC), 11-8, on Wednesday, May 1 in a Midwest Lacrosse Conference Tournament semifinal game at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
Top-seeded and conference-champion Aurora University (14-3, 10-0) swamped fourth-seeded the College of Mount St. Joseph (9-8, 6-3), 27-5, in the other semifinal game at Vago Field in Aurora, Ill. The Spartans will play host to the Red Men in the Saturday, May 4 title game at Vago Field, beginning at 1 p.m.
Carthage jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Augustana tied the game, 3-3, at 7:15 first period. The Red Men led the Vikings, 5-3, after the first period and 8-4 at halftime, but Augustana pulled to within a point at the start of the fourth period, 9-8. Carthage goals at

Mason Poage at 2:12 put the Red Men up by four, 12-8.
Mason Poage (Sr., Columbia, Mo./Hickman) led the Red Men with four goals and a ground ball.
Danny Morse (Jr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) scored two goals with two assists and three ground balls, Jack Meachum (Jr., Naperville, Ill./North) two goals with two assists and one ground ball, and
Peter Slefinger (Sr., Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton-Warrenville South) had two goals, one assist and three ground balls.
Hunter Douglas (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) was 20-of-24 in face offs with 18 ground balls. Jesse Nagelberg led Augustana with three goals.
