Box Score The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (6-5, 3-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent the College of Mount St. Joseph (5-3, 2-2 MWLC), 19-4, on Sunday, April 7 at Schueler Field in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The Lady Reds roared out to a 13-1 lead by halftime and out-scored the Lions, 6-3, in the second period.
Lauren Chatham (Jr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead), this week's Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference “player of the week,” scored four goals with one assist, as did
Sydney Whitaker (Jr., Bainbridge, Wash). Meghan Welle (Fr., Goshen, Ky./North Oldham) and
Taylor Holleschau (So., Danville, Calif./Monte Vista) had two goals and one assist each, with both
Maya Varma (Jr., Burlingame, Calif.) and Andrea Wambaugh (Fr., Louisville, Ky./Kentucky Country Day) getting two goals each. Chrissy O'Hara led Mount St. Joseph with two goals.
Carthage plays a rare women's lacrosse doubleheader on Saturday, April 13 by playing host to both Loras College (Noon) and the University of Dubuque (6 p.m.) at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
