Box Score The Carthage College men's lacrosse team (8-2, 3-0 Midwest Lacrosse Conference) defeated conference-opponent Augustana College (Ill. 5-4, 2-1 MLC), 7-6, on Saturday, April 6 at Thorson-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill. 

The Red Men led the Vikings, 4-3, after the first period, 6-4,at halftime, and 6-5 going into the final period.  Carthage went up, 7-5, with 7:29 to play on a goal by Danny Morse, and Augustana made it a one-point game at 2:49 on a goal by Scott Davis.
 
Mason Poage (Columbia, Mo./Hickman) led the Red Men with three goals, while Danny Morse (Jr., O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) had two goals and an assist.  Hunter Douglas (Sr. Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) was 13-for-17 in face offs with 12 ground balls. 

Carthage travels to Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 10 to take on conference-opponent the Milwaukee School of Engineering (0-6, 0-4 MLC) in a 7:30 p.m. contest at the Uihlein Soccer Park.
