Lady Reds Play Host to Benedictine (Ill.) on Thursday

Box Score The Carthage College women's lacrosse team (4-5, 1-1 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference) lost to conference-opponent Augustana College (Ill., 7-3, 3-0 MWLC), 10-9, on Tuesday, April 2 at Thorson-Lucken Field in Rock Island, Ill. 

The Vikings led, 5-2, at halftime.  The Lady Reds tied the game, 9-9, with 2:47 to play on a goal by Lauren Chatham, but Augustana answered with a goal by Allie Roehrenbeck as time expired for the 10-9 victory.
 
Roehrenbeck, Christin Letmanski and Kendall Maduro each scored two goals for Augustana.  Lauren Chatham (Jr., Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) led the Lady Reds with three goals and five draw controls, while Natalie Ceis (Sr., Seattle, Wash./Seattle Prep) had two goals, one assist and two ground balls. 

On Thursday, April 4, the Lady Reds play host to MWLC-opponent Benedictine University (Ill., 1-4, 0-1 MWLC)) in a 7 p.m. contest at Art Keller Field in Kenosha, Wis.
